Compact, leightweight and fast - New thermal printer mechanism LTPA245A
The new line thermal printer mechanism LTPA245A-384 has especially been developed by Seiko Instruments for ECR and EFT-POS applications and/or hand-held devices.
With a resolution of 8dots/mm, LTPA245A achieves a maximum printing speed of 90mm/s at 8.5Volt. The printer mechanism also features "Easy-Paper-Operation": a lever releases the platen and thus allows for paper-loading without any trouble. After that, the platen roller is firmly readjusted to the thermal head by a lock arm, i.e. SII´s unique latch function. In addition, two springs guarantee an even pressure between the platen and the thermal head.
LTPA245A features a paper width of 58mm, its printing width is 48 mm and it is able to print characters and graphics. The mechanism weights 41g, the dimensions are handy: 69.2mm x 28.3mm x 31.7mm (WxDxH).
Finally, only one connector cable is needed to drive both motor and head of the printer which allows for cost-saving design-ins. The temperature is constantly controlled via a thermistor and paper end is detected by a photo interrupter.
