New Thermal Printer Mechanisms LTPF247 and LTPF347 - Super High-Speed Printing with stable and solid design
Adding up to its portfolio of Easy-Paper-Operation mechanisms for POS applications, Seiko Instruments has developed LTPF247 and LTPF347, designed for paper widths of 2-inch and 3-inch. As to a super-high printing speed of 220mm/s, they are especially applicable for stationary POS - applications as well as for any application with which a large amount of information needs to be printed as quick as possible.
The print mechanisms of the LTPFseries feature over-all stability and solidity. "Easy Paper Operation" is realised by a complete release of the platen roller from the thermal head in order to easily feed the paper. In addition, cleaning of the thermal head becomes easier. After feeding the paper, the platen roller is firmly readjusted again by a metal hook, the so-called "latch function". Two springs guarantee for an even pressure on the thermal head and a paper end sensor detects the end of the paper roll.
With a resolution of 8dots/mm, LTPFseries mechanisms print characters and graphics on different thermal papers. Printing widths are 54mm (LTPF247) and 72mm (LTPF347) dimensions measure 86,2 x 54 x 25,8 mm (WxDxH - LTPF247) and 110,2 x 54 x 25,8mm (WxDxH - LTPF347).
As to peripherals, a serial / parallel interface is available as well as an autocutter with full- and partial-cut mode. Soon, even a winderunit will be obtainable.
