Update of standard line-up of small size TFT LCD (English 2009)
New 7.0”, 2.4” and 2.8” modules have been released.
The patented Fringe Field Switching (FFS) cell structure provides extremely wide viewing angle up to 170 degrees in horizontal and vertical direction, combined with a very high contrast as well as unmatched readability in sunlight due to an extraordinary bright backlight (450 cd/sqm).

S-1142 CMOS High Input 50V Voltage Regulator (English 2009)
Seiko Instruments Inc. has approved its new High Input Voltage CMOS LDO Voltage Regulator S-1142 for mass production. This Voltage Regulator has an input Voltage of 3V...50V (absolute max. 60V) and a low current consumption of only 4µA typ. (9µA max.).

LDO-Voltage-Regulator-Series S-1137 with Soft-Start (English 2009)
Prominent property of this new Series of CMOS voltage regulator is a Soft-Start function settable by one external capacitor. This will eliminate dangerous inrush current of approximately 400mA and reduce it to uncritical 20mA. The High-Ripple-Rejection-Ratio of 70dB typ. at 1KHz and VOUT= 1,0V
is further insuring that noticeable input voltage transients, as they occur with the fluctuation of neighbouring loads, will be suppressed.

LDO-Spannungs-Regler-Serie S-1137 mit Soft-Start (German 2009)
Herausragendes Merkmal dieser neuen Reihe von CMOS Spannungsreglern ist die durch einen externen Kondensator einstellbare Soft-Start-Funktion mit der gefährliche Einschaltstromspitzen (Inrush current von ca. 400mA) vermieden werden und auf ca. 20mA abgemildert werden. Die hohe Ripple Rejection von 70dB typ. bei 1KHz und VOUT= 1,0V stellt weiterhin sicher, dass auch erhebliche Eingangsspannungssprünge wie sie z.B. Lastwechsel benachbarter Verbraucher verursachen, weitgehend unterdrückt werden.

Chip-Type Double-Layer Capacitor CP3225A, 14mF in 7.2mm³, Equivalent to 4.5µAh. The demand for smaller and thinner portable equipment such as mobile and "Smart" phones remains unbroken and is actually increasing. Consequentially, the components used in such slim devices have to be even smaller and thinner to fit into those still keeping up with reliability and environmental compatibility.
